Pet Screening Policy Information

We use a third-party service, PetScreening, to ensure all applicants understand how to adhere to the property’s pet and animal policies, even if you do not have a pet or animal.  All applicants must create a profile using the link below to complete your rental application.  Even if you do not have any pets, you only have a service animal, or the residence you are applying for does not allow pets, you still must complete the screening.  Property owners and/or agents of Shore Management reserve the right to deny approval of any pet or limit the number of pets allowed.

Which Pets Will Be Considered?

Any pets that have not been given express approval by our management using this screening process are prohibited.  Prior to completing your application please make sure you have checked the rental advertisement for details about if/which pets will be considered.  If nothing is listed on the advertisement, then pets will NOT be allowed.  In all cases, only domesticated, standard, household pets will be considered.  Any pets deemed by our management to have an aggressive disposition that could be harmful to the health and safety of others may be prohibited.  Any negative references from previous landlords regarding pets will be grounds for disqualification. 

What About Service Animals?

Service/Companion animals are not considered pets, however the screening process still must be completed for service/companion animals. The process provides a HIPAA compliant and secure way of submitting a reasonable accommodation request for an assistance animal (service animals, emotional support animals, companion animals, etc.) that will be reviewed by a third-party legal review team to ensure the accommodation request meets HUD’s Fair Housing Act guidelines. There is no cost ($0) to you to submit an accommodation request. Please make sure you are aware of your State’s laws, if any, for submitting a fraudulent accommodation request

Pet Deposit

In cases where a pet has been allowed, a supplemental deposit will be required.
